TRAC Reports Show Increase in Immigration Court Cases

The latest report from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) shows that the number of cases in U.S. Immigration Courts is at an all-time high at over 287,000.  Just over 8 percent of the cases involve charges of criminal activities, terrorism or actions against national security while those charged with immigration violations made up 90 percent of all cases.  The Dallas Immigration Court has a backlog of over 4,500 cases and the average time for a case to be resolved is over a year.
