HRI’s Statement on the Current Afghan Situation

As Afghan refugees arrive in North Texas, Human Rights Initiative remains strong in our core belief: refugees and migrants are resilient people who have survived unbearable circumstances including violence and war. Once these brave people arrive in our country, they need humanitarian support to help them get on their feet and process the trauma they’ve experienced. We are honored to serve refugees so they can become thriving members of our community.

HRI is not directly engaging with the incoming Afghan refugees, but we would like to uplift the work of the following organizations who are on the ground, working around the clock, to welcome and sustain these new guests in North Texas: Refugee Services of TexasNorthwest Community CenterRAICESInternational Rescue Committee and Mosaic Family Services.

Unite with us and our partner organizations. Welcome refugees with Dignity.
