Happy Pride Month!

Happy Pride Month! HRI is proud to represent LGBTQ asylum seekers in their immigration cases. This month, we’re spotlighting the organizations that are specifically working at the intersection of LGBTQIA and immigrants’ rights across the country. Check out their great work!

OLTT (Organización de Latinas Trans en Tejas): Founded by Ana Andra Molina, an undocumented trans Latina activist to support undocumented trans Latina women in Texas, the group provides support and housing in Houston and began a group in Dallas last year.

Black LGBTQIA Migrant Project:  National project; BLMP focuses on deportation defense and other mutual-aid and organizing projects to support Black LGBTQIA+ people surviving our immigration system.

Santa Fe Dreamers Project: Providing pro bono representation for LGBTQIA folks detained in El Paso.

Queer Detainee Empowerment Project: Based in NY, provides legal referrals, bond funds, and resource navigation for LGBTQIA+ and HIV+ immigrants in detention centers and engages in national organizing

Immigration Equality: National org that provides direct representation, coordinates pro bono representation, and engages in policy work to support LGBTQ immigrants
