HRI fosters equity, celebrates diversity, and supports inclusion. We acknowledge diverse backgrounds and voices. Our visitors, volunteers, trustees, staff, and communities represented in the HRI family make us stronger. Each voice enables us to be better equipped to make positive impacts locally and nationally.
Equity
Society’s historical legacies and systemic barriers have created disparities in the communities we serve. We strive to actively oppose inequity in our internal practices and engagements with clients and community. HRI works to expand and enhance our organizational practices and our legal, social and advocacy services to clients.
Diversity
Many factors make individuals and groups unique. Our goal is diverse representation and recognition of whole, authentic selves and cultures -including but not limited to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, veteran status, disability, genetics, economic backgrounds, and experiences. Our goal is to ensure HRI reflects this diversity.
Inclusion
We center the voices and perspectives of those most directly affected. We seek and respect diverse voices. We create a vibrant and accessible space that encourages dialogue and the exchange of ideas through discussion and feedback.
EOE
