Dear HRI Supporters,
You may have already heard the bittersweet news: HRI is saying good bye to our Executive Director Bill Holston, who first joined HRI as a volunteer attorney and has served since late 2012 as Executive Director. We are thankful for Bill’s deep commitment to leading HRI in Texas and we want to recognize the impact his work has had on so many over the past years.
As we transition to a change in vision and leadership, we are grateful for the commitment of our incredible board and staff who are leading us into the next phase of HRI. To help find the new Executive Director, HRI has engaged a national firm, the Peña Search Consulting Group. We are in the process of interviewing strong candidates and we are very excited about our next step!
We have a lot coming up this year- we are starting work on our next strategic plan, we are refocusing on our local campaigns after a challenging legislative session, and we are gearing up for a vigorous Fall which is packed with exciting client programming and initiatives!
The future is bright for HRI and our fight to demand justice for immigrant communities continues. We are counting on your support through this transition and into the next phase of HRI.
Feel free to reach out to our Board Chair, Carolyn Ruiz to talk more about the transition and plans for the organization. You can reach her at board@hrionline.org.
With deep gratitude,
HRI Board of Directors and HRI Staff
